The recipe for Abkhazura requires me to grind the meat. I don’t have a meat grinder, so I thought I would just get pre-ground meat. The friends I was making this dish with had a kitchen aid with a meat grinder attachment. They were excited to be able to use it and explained that the kitchen aid is the second most useful tool in the kitchen. The first is of course a chef’s knife. I’ve been cooking for years with my hand mixer and didn’t see the need for one. But, she was letting me cook in her kitchen, so why not give it a try.
I wouldn’t have thought it wouldn’t made a big difference, but it does. The meat with the onion and garlic blended in was delicious. Now I have to have one! Oh well this is no longer a cheap project for an unemployed girl.
